Since 2017, I've been helping expats in different countries settle into their new surroundings, navigate the sea of conflicting advice, and find their voices so they can feel confident again and start enjoying their new lives.

Let’s Get Acquainted!

My name is Lana Kudinova — I’m a counseling psychologist, MA in Counseling (The University of Manchester, UK).
I work with clients individually and also run courses and psychological games. I offer both in-person and online sessions.

10 Facts About Me

• I’m 39 years old, born and raised in Minsk, Belarus.

• I’ve lived 3.5 years in Moscow, 4 years in Israel, and moved to New York 5 years ago.

• I knew I wanted to become a psychologist since I was 15.

• I earned my first degree in Psychology and Teaching from Belarusian State University in 2009.

In 2010, I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences in partnership with The University of Manchester (UK). The program followed British academic standards, and the final qualification - Master of Arts in Counseling - was awarded by the University of Manchester.

• In 2013, I went through a period of depression and sought professional help. That experience helps me deeply understand what my clients feel — and reminds me that there is always a way out.

• In 2018, I completed advanced training at the Beck Institute (Philadelphia, USA) in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression and Anxiety Disorders.

• I continue to study regularly to expand my toolkit and adapt my approach to each client’s needs — including CBT for depression, anxiety, and personality disorders, EFT: Attachment in Practice, and several types of hypnotherapy (directive, Ericksonian, and Elman methods).

• I also have experience working as a QA tester, which often helps me explain how our mind “debugs” itself — and why sometimes it doesn’t.

• Outside of work, my biggest passion is surfing. It’s my way to recharge: adrenaline mixed with the calm of the ocean often brings unexpected insights and creative solutions — and keeps burnout away.
